My interest in the field of One Health began with my questions about the types of foods we choose or have available to eat and the way that we produce these. As a GI pathologist, I have witnessed the malignant consequences of these choices. In learning about One Health, I have been inspired by examples where healthy choices for our environment and animals are also healthier choices for people. My involvement with organizations which work towards increasing access to unprocessed diets, community green spaces and clean and plentiful water shows me that there are win-win solutions for humans, animals and the environment. My work with AZ Climate & Health gives me the opportunity to help spread the word about how we can help improve people's lives in our current climate and ways we can work to make the world a better place for future generations.

I received my MD from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, completed a pediatrics internship at Loma Linda University and my Pathology residency and fellowship training at the University of Arizona.
